A very tranquil lake

Beautiful surroundings
The perfect place to raise a family
What more could wildlife ask for
Complete peace

If you have a humane solution to this problem, please put it in the comments box below.
Help us increase thier numbers again before its too late.

The population of the Lake has declined this year.
There are fewer ducks and moor hens, and due to a dog attack, one of the adult swan
is being cared for in an animal hospital, lets hope the owner of the dog can be traced.
The Herons continue to breed on the island, and the swans have produced 8 young this
years and all are doing well, guarded by the remaining adult who lets me get very close
to her young.
We are awaiting the return of the Cormorants whose numbers last year reached 9.
I am hoping to get more photos of the bats this year - keep watching for photos.

The above shot was taken from about 20" away as the parent watched very closely.
I think both parents are getting used to me being around for the last 3 years.

Hoping to get some better camera equipment so that I can get some picture of life on
the breeding island, so if anyone has got a long lens for a Canon that I can borrow or buy
let me know.
